LESSON 94: FESTON WHEELS

Feston Wheels Tutorial:

This tutorial to sew the scallop wheels is going to enchant you. You will surely find it useful in your designs. Highly recommended also for patchwork.

To make this wheel, the steps are as follows:

1-Take the needle out at the edge of the circle, put it in the center and take it out again at the edge, very close to where you just did it, with the thread under the needle. Pass it on carefully. Repeat the movements all over the place.

Make the last stitch by passing the needle under the first stitch you made and insert it in the center as before.

Move the insertion point off-center for a less formal effect.

Materials

• You need a sharp pointed needle. In your trusted haberdashery they can advise you on this.
• Thimble, we know that it is not easy to get used to it, but the earlier you adapt, the better, you will avoid many punctures.
• Special thread for sewing. Or you can also use fine crochet yarn if it is to decorate something
• Frame, there are made of wood, plastic and silicone. Lately I spend the silicone ones because I like them better, but that goes to taste.
• Light, the more the better and to be able to be natural
