LESSON 99: SCAPULAR OR CROSS POINT

3 de November de 2021 By admin 0

Tutorial for scapular or cross stitch:

With this tutorial for scapular or cross stitch, you will be able to make a different and very beautiful type of cross stitch too.

This stitch can be worked quite large, while the tie point handles the cross stitches in place; can be used singly, in scattered lines, or as a solid or alternately arranged filler.

First work a cross stitch in the usual way, making two stitches, from 1 to 2 and from 3 to 4. Take the needle out at 5, near the center, and put it in at 6, holding the two cross stitches. Repeat the steps as many times as you need.

If you distribute the units on a chessboard, the corners of the dots should touch, just like in the photo:

It is very, very, very beautiful

Materials

  • You need a sharp pointed needle. In your trusted haberdashery they can advise you on this.
  • Thimble, we know that it is not easy to get used to it, but the earlier you adapt, the better, you will avoid many punctures.
  • Special thread for sewing. Or you can also use fine crochet yarn if it is to decorate something
  • Frame, there are made of wood, plastic and silicone. Lately I spend the silicone ones because I like them better, but that goes to taste.
  • Light, the more the better and to be able to be natural
