Lesson 113: OPEN SPIN POINT

Tutorial for open spine point:

The tutorial for open spine stitch will guide you to sew with this type of stitch. It is used for decorative margins and edges, application lace. He works from left to right.

Fig. A: Pull out the needle in 1, put it in 2 and pull out in 3, with the thread underneath the needle. Run the whole needle through the thread.

Fig. B: Put the needle in 4 and pull it out in 5, with the thread under the needle. Pass it all along with the thread.

Continue stitching alternately up and down as needed. Finish the last loop with a small stitch. You can vary the width of the edge and the distance between the points to your liking.

Materials

• You need a sharp pointed needle. In your trusted haberdashery they can advise you on this.
