Tutorial for triangle filling:

Hello, welcome to Tutorial for triangle filling point; a type of stitch that will help you, for example, cover holes in your clothing while remaining decorative.

It is used in open fillers for regular and irregular shapes, small and medium, can be used as a base and add more decorative stitches. The tissue should be firmly extended.

How do you do that?

Fig. A: First make a series of parallel long points on one side of the triangle. Take the needle out into 1, put it into 2, pull it out into 3, put it into 4 and so on, making short stitches only on the back.

Imaginary points of Fig. A

Fig. B: Then make a second set of long stitches parallel to the second side of the triangle in the same way, pulling out the needle and inserting it just outside the longer anterior strand.

In Fig. B, we make the diagonal points that make up the triangle

Fig. C: In the same way, make a third set of long points parallel to the third side of the triangle.

Fig. D: Using another colour if desired, secure each intersection with a small vertical stitch, always pulling the needle out at 1, below the intersection, and inserting it at 2, above the intersection, to maintain a regular appearance.

Materials

  • You need a sharp pointed needle. In your trusted haberdashery they can advise you on this.
  • Thimble, we know that it is not easy to get used to it, but the earlier you adapt, the better, you will avoid many punctures.
  • Special thread for sewing. Or you can also use fine crochet yarn if it is to decorate something
  • Frame, there are made of wood, plastic and silicone. Lately I spend the silicone ones because I like them better, but that goes to taste.
  • Light, the more the better and to be able to be natural
