What is it used for?

One more quick and easy fill point for medium to large areas with medium sized diamond pattern.

How do you do that?

Start at the top right:

Fig. A: Cast off at 1, cast on at 2, cast off at 3, cast on at 4, cast off at 5, cast on at 6, cast off at 7, cast on at 8, cast off at 9 and cast on at 10. These five stitches form a unit. Repeat to the left, starting at 11. Notice that there is an empty stitch between the units.
