Tutorial for hemp stitches: Filled Algerian stitch:

Here’s the Tutorial for Algerian stitch stuffed in canvas fabric: Another proposal of fantasy stitch in hemp stitch that we propose you at Bordarycantar.com.

What is it used for?

This is a quick and easy filling stitch, for large areas with eye-catching basketweave pattern. Pattern stockings may vary, but long stitches always require three times as much yarn as long stitches.

How do you do that?

Start at the top right:

Fig. A: Pull the needle out at 1, cast on 2, three yarns over, pull it out at 3, cast it in at 4, pull it out at 5, cast it in at 6. Nine stitches higher, pull it out at 7 and cast it in at 8. Repeat these four stitches to the left.

Fig. B: Make the next row from left to right, fitting the units between the ones above. The long stitches are placed over the short ones above, and vice versa. Make the forward and backward rows to fill in.
