Tutorial for Scrim Stitches: Knotted stitch.

What is it used for?

A densely textured knit for small and large areas; rows worked in different colors will be mixed.

How do you do that?

Start at the top right:

Fig. A: Take the needle out at 1 and put it in at 2, making a long, slanted stitch. Take the needle out at 3 and insert it at 4, crossing the slant stitch with a short diagonal stitch. Bring the needle out at 5 to start the next repeat to the left.

Fig. B: Work the next row from left to right. Take the needle out at 6, in at 7, out at 8, in at 9, and out at 10 to start the next repeat to the right. The stitches on each row fit between the stitches on the top row.

Materials to embroider Knotted stitch on canvas fabric:

• You need a sharp pointed needle. In your trusted haberdashery they can advise you on this.
• Canvas fabric
• Thimble, we know that it is not easy to get used to it, but the earlier you adapt, the better, you will avoid many punctures.
• Special thread for sewing. Or you can also use fine crochet yarn if it is to decorate something
• Frame, there are made of wood, plastic and silicone. Lately I spend the silicone ones because I like them better, but that goes to taste.
• Light, the more the better and to be able to be natural
