Tutorial for Darning spider web stitch.

What is it used for?

Stitch for stuffing.

How do you do that?

It can be worked in two colors. Starts at the top left:

Fig. ACast off at 1, cast on 2, cast off at 3, cast on at 4, cast off at 5 and cast on at 2. Repeat up and down to the right. Work the next diagonal row down and to the left as shown. Repeat the diagonal rows to fill in the area.

Fig. BWith the same or another color, draw the needle out at 1, pass it through the last diagonal stitch made and insert it into 2, draw it out at 3, and pass it through the row of diagonal stitches, inserting it back into 4. Draw the needle out at 5 to start the next row. Continue in this way to the upper left.

• You need a sharp pointed needle. In your trusted haberdashery they can advise you on this.
• Canvas fabric
• Thimble, we know that it is not easy to get used to it, but the earlier you adapt, the better, you will avoid many punctures.
• Special thread for sewing. Or you can also use fine crochet yarn if it is to decorate something
• Frame, there are made of wood, plastic and silicone. Lately I spend the silicone ones because I like them better, but that goes to taste.
