What is it used for?

Small octagonal stitch unit, suitable for medium to large areas and backgrounds. It works best on simple canvas, because all 16 stitches pass through the same central hole.

How do you do that?

Start at the top right:

Fig. A: Cast off the needle at 1 and slip it into 2, three strands to the left. Work clockwise, knit 15 more stitches, pulling the needle out on 3 to 17, passing through all the stitches and bringing the needle in on 2. These 16 stitches form one stitch unit. Bring the needle back out at 10 to start the next unit to the left.

• Canvas fabric
• Thimble, we know that it is not easy to get used to it, but the earlier you adapt, the better, you will avoid many punctures.
• Special thread for sewing. Or you can also use fine crochet yarn if it is to decorate something
• Frame, there are made of wood, plastic and silicone. Lately I spend the silicone ones because I like them better, but that goes to taste.
