LESSON 114: ENLARGED CORAL STITCH. STITCH CRETENSE

Tutorial for extended cretan coral stitch:

With this tutorial we show you a different type of fantasy stitch.

It is used on margins and edges, straight and curved lines, application laces. He works from top to bottom.

Fig. A: Pull out the needle in 1, put it in 2 and pull out in 3, with the thread underneath the needle. Distance 1-2 should be equal to distance 1-3. Run the whole needle through the thread.

Fig. B: Put the needle in 4, about the height of 1, and pull it out in 5, with the thread under the needle. Pass it all.

Fig. C: Continue stitching alternately left and right as needed. Finish the last loop with a small chain stitch.

Materials

• You need a sharp pointed needle. In your trusted haberdashery they can advise you on this.
• Thimble, we know that it is not easy to get used to it, but the earlier you adapt, the better, you will avoid many punctures.
• Special thread for sewing. Or you can also use fine crochet yarn if it is to decorate something
