What is it used for?

It is used as a quick and easy filling stitch for medium to large areas with a horizontal bead surface. Stitches can be made in any size, working with two to five strands of canvas.

How do you do that?

Start at the top right:

Fig. A: Pull the needle out at 1, pull it in at 2, pull it out at 3 and pull it in at 4. Continue in the same way until the end of the row.

Fig. B: Work the next row from left to right in the same way, putting the needle in at 5 and taking it out at 6.

Work the next few rows back and forth to fill in.

• Canvas fabric
