What is it used for?

It is a filling point for large surfaces.

How do you do that?

It has a dense texture of crosses framed by straight dots, suitable for small and large areas. It starts at the top right. Each row is worked in two passes:

Fig. APull the needle out at 1, pull it in at 2, pull it out at 3, pull it in at 2, pull it out at 4 and pull it back in at 2. Pull the needle out at 3 to start the next repeat to the left.

Fig. B: On the back row, the diagonal stitches complete the crosses. Turn the work around to stitch from right to left. Pull the needle out at stitch 4 of the last group of stitches worked and insert it in 1, thus crossing the diagonal stitch. Bring the needle back out on 3 to start the next repeat to the left. At the end of the row, turn the work around to start the next row to the right. It is also possible to work the second pass without turning the work (turn the figure B up and down to see how it looks). Repeat these two passes as many times as necessary.

• You need a sharp pointed needle. In your trusted haberdashery they can advise you on this.
• Canvas fabric
• Thimble, we know that it is not easy to get used to it, but the earlier you adapt, the better, you will avoid many punctures.
• Special thread for sewing. Or you can also use fine crochet yarn if it is to decorate something
• Frame, there are made of wood, plastic and silicone. Lately I spend the silicone ones because I like them better, but that goes to taste.
